                                                                                            July 29, 2010

Dear ADE Editor,

Everyone I know is looking for a bargain and there is a huge one right under our noses.  This year Pendragon Theater in Saranac Lake is celebrating their 30th anniversary with a special subscription rate of 3 plays for $30! They have a full schedule of plays slated on the calendar daily from now through September 5th.  For children there is Jungle Book, for humor there is The Complete Works of William Shakespeare and The imaginary Invalid, for those looking for serious professional acting there is Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, Eurydice and Moby Dick Rehearsed, and there are still more.  Give the box office a call at 518-891-1854 and make a reservation today. I promise you that you will not regret it and you will see professional live theater in an intimate setting.  This is one bargain you, your family and your summer guests should not pass up.

Moby Dick Rehearsed

I saw Moby Dick last night , and I wanted to congratulate and thank you for this fine performance. You and all the other actors were great in your roles!
Chris McGovern's Ahab bowled me over. He is to be especially recognized for figuring out the role, a major achievement in itself, and then of course for performing it brilliantly.

I hope nobody fainted from exhaustion in the green room after the show. At the curtain call all of you looked pretty wiped out!

Thanks again for such magnificent theater.

Eisenhower Era:

What did Eisenhower's mistress say to Mamie?

"We're just going to have to learn to share and share 'ol' Ike."

Christmas Cat and the Pudding Pirates

My family attended Christmas Cat and the Pudding Pirates this past
Wednesday. Whether 12 or 77, we all left with smiles fixed upon our faces.
I'll speak for us all, we couldn't have asked for a more fun start to the
holidays.

Thank you.

say, in the right port Myrtle could still attract a respectable clientele.
