THE SHOW MUST GO ON! (Just not right now)
Dear Pendragon Patron
Pendragon Theatre is, and has been for the last 40 years, a vital and responsible member of the Saranac Lake and North Country communities.YOU , our audience, are our priority.
We won’t put your health at risk during the COVID-19 pandemic. So we’ve made the sad and difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Summer Season.
Our commitment to bringing outstanding performing arts to our audience remains strong. As I write, Pendragon staff is working on creative ways to bring theater to our community virtually. If you can’t come to our home, we’re planning innovative ways to bring entertainment and insight to yours.
Just as we care about your health, we care about the wellbeing of our staff. We won’t be able to put actors on our stage and patron in our theater this summer. But we’ll make every effort to maintain the bare bones year-round staff that many of you know so well. Employing them through the coronavirus crisis is essential – they’re the muscle that makes Pendragon strong.
Leaving Pendragon “dark” this summer will bring financial shock. Ticket sales, advertising, and sponsorship represent over half our annual revenue.
We need your help now. If we can raise $225,000 we won’t have to furlough staff, and we can keep the heat on (low!). With your generosity we will survive, and come back stronger. We’ll continue to perform the theater you love. We’ll continue to drive economic development. And we’ll continue to provide the educational and social service programs our community needs.
But we can’t do it without your support NOW for essential staff and basic operations. Please click the "Donate Now" button to support Pendragon as generously as you can.
Your gift now is a vote of confidence for the importance of theater in our lives and Pendragon’s positive effect on and in our community.
