In the classroom

Pendragon Classroom Workshops

In the 2025-2026 academic year Pendragon is offering free classroom workshops to elementary schools in the Adirondack Park!

What will be the Workshop Content?

Teachers can choose from four distinct workshop offerings, or request a specific theme or content for their classroom. Descriptions of each workshop are in the linked survey below.

Who will be our Teaching Artist?

In 2025-26, Workshops will be led by Dr. Katherine and Pendragon Teaching Artists. Katherine has worked as a theatre educator with tens of thousands of students of all ages all over the world. She is a professional theatre maker, holds a PhD in Educational Psychology, is a licensed New York State child care provider, and loves getting to visit classrooms and make art together!

What is the cost?

Pendragon is offering this program free of cost for all Adirondack public elementary schools. (This means that we may not be able to meet all requests if demand is greater than our current capacity.)

Why is Pendragon offering Classroom Workshops?

We believe that every child has the right to access relevant, meaningful, and joyful arts learning! Part of achieving that mission is traveling to meet students where they are. We are excited to come visit you at your school!

Questions?

Please email Pendragon’s Education Coordinator, Dr. Katherine E. Norman, at kenorman6@gmail.com

Please note:

  • We may not be able to accommodate every request; if you’re interested in this opportunity, then be sure to register early.

  • If there are multiple teachers or classrooms in your school that would like workshops, then please plan to have all workshops occur on the same day.

  • If you teach middle or high school, or with a private/charter/homeschool group and are interested in having a Pendragon Teaching Artist visit your classroom, please click on the link and indicate that interest in the survey. Knowing what teachers in our region want will help us shape future programming and raise funds to expand our offerings!
