Rehearsal for Camp Pendragon's 2022 production of Frozen Jr.

Summer 2023
SLEEPING BEAUTY, (sort of)
by Amina Henry
Directed by Hannah-Kathryn 'HK' Wall
This summer's Camp Pendragon production is an updated, contemporary adaptation of Sleeping Beauty by award-winning playwright Amina Henry with direction by last summer's Frozen Jr BWW nominated director Hannah-Kathryn Wall. It will run approximately one hour.
Subsidized Tuition for this program is covered in part by the generosity of the
North Elba Local Enhancement Advancement Fund
Lake Placid Education Foundation
Is there singing?
This production is a play featuring non-singing roles. It is Pendragon's goal to switch between a "play" and a "musical" every summer, so non-singers & dancers feel comfortable participating in the fun.
What if I don't get a role?
Everyone gets a role! Everyone who signs up before registration closes and are able to make the full commitment get a role, costume, etc. Now, some characters are bigger than others and there's a lot of competition for lead parts, but we ensure everyone has time on stage.
Is there an age limit?
Typically, our Campers are between 7th and 12th Grade (entering 7th or recently graduated from high school). If you think your potential Camper wants to be involved but doesn't fit that age bracket, reach out and let's talk!
Is there tuition?
Thanks to the generosity of the Lake Placid Education Fund, early bird tuition is lower than last year at only $250. Also, there is a sliding scale for scholarships, first come first serve.
When should I register?
Sign up by April 1st! If you've missed the deadline, email info@pendragontheatre.org
What is the commitment?
