Take a musical journey through the repertoire of composer Richard Rodgers and lyricist Lorenz Hart! Known for their powerful partnership that scored thirty stage musicals and nine films, Rodgers and Hart captivated audiences with their emotional musical storytelling. Now, see the music come alive again in a limited run of performances around the Adirondacks.
NY State Writers: Ayad Akhtar & Willie Perdomo
The 2021-2022 NY State author, Ayad Akhtar, and the 2021-2022 State poet, Willie Perdomo, will perform for free at Pendragon Theatre in Saranac Lake. A Pulitzer-prize winning playwright will be introduced by former NY State Author, Russell Banks, and Perdomo, an acclaimed poet and performer, will be introduced by Chase Twichell. Banks and Twichell are long-time residents of Keene, and they’ll welcome Aktar and Perdomo to the North country. This event is a collaboration between Adirondack Center for Writing, the NY State Writers Institute in Albany, and Pendragon Theatre.
